Fog on Howe Sound

Yesterday, when I arrived in Snug Cove to take the ferry to the mainland, the sun was shining.

Then fog moving northward in Georgia Strait began to appear over the crest of Dorman Point and flow down into the Cove.

As the ferry departed I could see the fog waiting for us out on Howe Sound beyond the mouth of Snug Cove and the protection of Dorman Point.

Weather like this is accompanied by the echo of ferry horns blowing on the Sound.

Those pics are thumbprints.
