= WordPress web siteToday Morgan Ballantyne decided that she would abandon her old HTML site, and would be managed entirely by the content management system (CMS) software and blog: WordPress. At the same time, it has moved to new and faster server that should work better with cms. There is still lots of work to do, but it was time to begin to use these new web tools.

My job was to wire up WordPress. The advantage is that now Morgan can make all of the modifications to her site from inside WordPress, and seldom have to fiddle with HTML.

The event that made this possible was the development of the OnStage WordPress theme by Mike Van Winkle. Frankly, most CMS themes are about presenting a huge collection of content. This theme feels theatrical and puts the focus on the performer.

As I write this blog entry, the DNS servers out there have not all decided which site you will see if you go to This takes a few hours or days to sort out. If you are nostalgic about the way her site has evolved you should visit the WayBackMachine.
