Mt. Harvey Traverse on Sunday

It has been two years since I’ve hiked a big mountain. My operation last summer certainly slowed me down. Well, we skied in the spring, and I’ve been up and down Mt. Gardner many times this summer.

Bowen Isle from Mt. Harvey's summit
For my hiking come-back, we chose a nearby friend: Mt Harvey. The above picture is Bowen Island from the summit of Harvey. The complete story, with pictures, is posted as a Trip Report on Clubtread.

This article shows which mountain is Mt. Harvey.

Great shot…a classic since Ian Fry made a Brittania Range view of our rock iconic.

And thanks for setting straight the names of the peaks. I’m constantly correcting people that Harvey and Harvey’s Pup are NOT in fact the Lions. Unfortunately the impression persists. There is even a painting on the Queen of Capilano of Harvey, wrongly named “The Lions.”
