Wind NNE 87 with gusts to 104 Km/hour – no power outages

At 9 am this morning Pam Rocks Weather station reports -1 degrees C and the wind is NNE 87 with gusts to 104 Km/hour. Nether the wind nor the chilly temperatures are extraordinary. What makes this unusual is that here on Millers Landing, on Bowen Island, we’ve had a Squamish Wind raging down Howe Sound for more than a day, and we have experienced no power outages. Congratulations to the planners who prepared the Island for this season!

well done with no power outs – it’s hard to bear when it is so cold.
