Comet Lulin on 2009 Feb 24

Comet Lulin will be at its closest to the Earth on February 24. This map shows the position of the stars and the comet just before midnight on the 24th at any latitude similar to the Salish Sea. The comet will be faint, but if you have a dark sky and a telescope or 7×50 binoculars, you might see it as a tiny and hazy spot of light. This is a thumb’ so click it to go to flickr and then click for the largest size image to see the detail. If the sky is clear, Saturn will be easily visible, and it is near the comet. Edited to add… I created a map showing the Path of Comet Lulin for the end of February.
