As the Queen of Capilano departed the mainland on Aug 20 for the 4:45 PM ferry sailing, it stopped and held its position in the water. An announcement informed the passengers that a small craft seemed to have struck a rock near the Horseshoe Bay headlight, and the crew was prepared to provide assistance. Moments later a speedboat arrived from the marina and the Queen continued its trip to Bowen Island.
